    Little Tikes Bubble Bellies Review

Photo Credit Justine Godsil We recently had the opportunity to try Little Tikes Bubble Bellies sold on Imperial Toys website and I must say we were very pleased with how the toys held up. My blog assistant, Justine, did the review for us since we don’t have small children. Here is what she thought of the toys. Photo Credit: Justine Godsil I thought the bubble machine was actually really cool. We have bought several for Ty in the past and they work well for the first 10 minutes and then it is a struggle to get it to do continuous bubble. When you fill it and you miss the spout…

    American Apparel Summer 2013 Review

My daughter and I have been looking at summer clothes online which is good timing since American Apparel offered her the opportunity to try a couple summer pieces from their American Apparel Summer 2013 line. She chose a stone washed denim short vest and a summer peach chambray short jumpsuit, both items are current styles with a lot of diversity which will be great for her since she loves to pull off different looks throughout the week. We like American Apparel because the products are made in America. We think the quality is better then what you would find in stores that import their products from Asian countries such as…

How to Sprout Beans at Home

Beans are one of the easiest things to sprout from seed without any soil needed. They take approximately 3 days to spout and if you place them on a warm surface you might see sprouting activity in as little as 24 ours. Start off with whole dried beans you purchase from a seed company or use whole dried beans you find in the organic bulk section of your store. When sprouting beans from home it really isn’t necessary to use soil. Here, I used dried Fava beans found at Whole Foods. Place dried beans in a bowl of shallow water. You don’t need the water to be filtered. Place in…

DIY Tutu Skirt – Fairy Style

When my daughter was younger she loved ballet and fairies, you know typical girl stuff. So we would make a lot of different tutu’s, leotards and dance pieces. This is a quick, very easy fairy diy tutu skirt that your little girl will love. You can make it long or short and have her pick her own colors out. It takes very minimal supplies that you can get at Joann Fabric using the 50% off coupons in their inserts that release each Sunday. The waist band is made from wide elastic sewn to white ribbon. I stretched the elastic as I sewed it to the ribbon to make the waist…

With school ending in just a few weeks I want to remind you that the application deadline is June 30th for College Bound for both 7th and 8th grade students. Also a warning that if your student does not send in their application by June 30th of their 8th grade year that they won’t be able to participate. If you do not know what College Bound is you can find more information at the College Bound Website for Washington State.  The short of it is that College Bound is…
