Simple Cups – K Cups Disposible Filter System
I recently got the chance to review a disposable K Cup filter system by Simple Cups. I have to say I was very excited to review this because K Cups are so darn expensive so the thought of making them at home was going to save us money but when I tried the system my excitement turned to disappointment. Here is why, The system was easy to put together so I made a dozen to store in my pantry for the week ahead. Sadly, when I tried the first one I noticed coffee granules in my coffee. Didn’t think about it and tried a second one and noticed all the…

Dance Socks from Cocos Closet Review
My daughter has been meeting 2 days a week to practice traditional dances for a Quinceanera that she is participating in. She has been coming home with sore feet for a while now, they are so sore that sometimes she’s almost crying from the pain. I wasn’t sure how to help her other than take her to the doctor which resulted in nothing. So when I came across Dance Socks I figured we don’t have anything to lose by trying them. They have helped some but there’s still pain. DanceSocks were created to be used on wood floors with sneakers. They take the tension away from the balls of your…

Yoga for Weight Loss Review
I have never been into Yoga but wanted to find some things that I could do around the house that would encourage me to keep working out. I have always been off balance my entire life, so I was hoping that by learning yoga my balance would improve. My sister has gone to some pretty hardcore yoga classes before and asked me to go with but I didn’t feel comfortable attending a Bikram yoga class (where the heat the room up to a high degrees) with my asthma. I found Yoga for Weight Loss by GAIAM and really like it. Some of the moves are more difficult than I realized…

Smile Brilliant Teeth Whitening System Review & Giveaway
As a coffee, tea and soda drinker my teeth have a hard time getting white. It is one of the most irritating things and I am very self conscious about them not being white enough. I have tried over the counter teeth whitening products in the stores, like strips or toothpaste and one time I tried a gel but none of that worked. I felt like it was a waste of my money to continue using those products if they didn’t work. So I stopped buying them and stuck with the expensive teeth whitening at the dentist’s office. And of course that meant dropping hundreds of dollars each visit because…

PromGirl.net – Homecoming Dress Review
My daughter had the chance to review a dress from Prom Girl, an online formal/evening dress shop. She chose a Turquoise short style by Clarisse that retails for $239.00. When we received the dress we were surprised at how pretty it is. She did not like the giant bow on the back of the dress. The bow is removable if you snip the ribbon that attaches the bow to the dress. Snipping the ribbon won’t effect the dress in anyway. I thought the dress was absolutely stunning on her and the color is a great one for her olive skin tone and dark hair. Paired with black heels and a…

Shadora Diamond Accent Sterling Silver Hoop Earrings
Emily’s Frugal Tips had the opportunity to do a review of these lovely diamond accent sterling silver hoop earrings from Shadora.com, an online jewelry store specializing in low cost fine costume jewelry. They are known for their limited stock 30 day sales. All Shadora pieces come in a gift box and are ready to be wrapped or given as is in the box. I have to admit I am not a big fan of these hoops, they are much smaller then I though they would be and they are not my style but they have a nice appearance and I do like the diamond accent that is in the inside of the earring, so…

If you have been following of my blog since the beginning then you already know that I am a tea snob. I am tea obsessed. I have pretty much every tea brand sold in the stores. I recently came across two brand I had not tried before. Since it’s National Iced Tea month I thought it would be fun to feature some tea on the blog. A little history about Americans and tea You may believe the false claims that Americans are coffee drinkers but in reality we fought for the right to drink our tea and not go broke. Do you remember the Boston Tea Party acts? Throwing the…

Rudolph’s Pork Rinds – Chicharonnes Review
My family recently had the opportunity to try Rudolph’s Pork Rinds. Now, as most of you know, my husband is Hispanic and pork rinds or as they like to call them in Spanish, chicharrones, a main snack food back home and still is here. We were given 4 bags total: hot & spicy, original, chile & lime, bold & spicy BBQ. He likes to eat his with hot sauce even when the bag already says “hot & spicy”, so it was not a surprise to me when I saw him reaching for the tapatio sauce when he opened the first bag of Rudolph’s pork rinds in the hot & spicy…
