>Product Review & Giveaway: Nature’s Hand Granola
> I had the opportunity to review Nature’s Hand Granola, a company dedicated to creating delicious granola that’s both tasty and healthy. I reviewed 2 products from the company; French Vanilla Almond and Wild Blueberry. You can see a photo of the Wild Blueberry below. Notice how it’s not clumpy and it’s dry instead of wet looking and it doesn’t appear to be covered in sugar? That’s because the company makes the granola with a combination of raw honey and brown sugar to lightly sweeten the grains but not overpower the grains with sugar. This granola in low in calories and fat but loaded with other nutrients such as protein,…

Product Review: Zevia
> Zevia Review If you’re trying to lose weight or avoid sugary drinks for your New Year’s resolution then I’ve got the perfect product for you! I found a soda product called Zevia that has 0 calories and is sugar free, and is actually really good. Zevia is sweetened with Stevia, a little plant related to the sunflower and is 300x times; yes I said 300x, sweeter than white sugar. It has no caloric value and will not affect your blood sugar levels so it is diabetic safe. There are 12 flavors of Zevia but I’ve tried just a few. The cola flavor was a bit strong for me, and…

Home Free Treats Review
I recently reviewed Home Free organic treats. The company makes cookies, coffee cake, and baking ingredients for people with food sensitivities. They also have a cookbook and offer a food service. I reviewed their organic cookie products. Home Free makes cookies that are egg, nut, peanut, and dairy free. Some of their cookies are also Gluten free. The facility where the cookies are made is an allergy safe environment. You won’t find nuts, legumes, fish or shell fish, soy, sesame in their kitchens at any time. I found it interesting that the company is also very careful where they purchase their ingredients to make their products. They ensure…

Brillo Estracell Sponges Review
Recently I had the opportunity to review Brillo products for cross contamination. I reviewed Brillo Estracell sponge and Brillo Estracell wedge sponge. Both products worked well in my kitchen over the holiday. My oldest make lots of cookies and other desserts and made a huge mess. I was grateful to have the sponge wipe to use. It worked well on my kitchen table, and is large enough that it fits in the palm of my hand. The wedge sponge worked perfectly on dishes and hard to reach places. I liked that the wedge sponge has a scrubbing side to it. According to Brillo, their products rinse out better…

Product #Review: Beanitos Bean #Chips
I was recently approached by Beanitos to do a product review of their new single serve bean chips. As a mom of 2 school age kids I am always on the lookout for healthy snacks that they can eat after school or take on trips. I was delighted to find out that Beanitos packs a big punch in the nutritional department! With a whopping 6 grams of protein and 6 grams of fiber per serving it is clear to me that this brand is NOT your ordinary chip, it is a brand that you can feel comfortable feeding to your family. I love that the chips are good for…

Gardein Seven Grain Crispy Tenders Review
Gardein Seven Grain Crispy Tenders are a meat-free alternative protein source. Each serving contains 100 calories, 8 grams of protein, zero cholesterol and zero Trans fat. I am slowly trying to introduce meat less products to my family. It has been a battle with many brands because they know immediately that the product isn’t real, but with Gardein my kids loved the product. My kids never once questioned if it was a meat less dish, and they even ate seconds. To my family they taste exactly like chicken fingers. You wouldn’t know that they are meat-free by their taste and texture. I baked them in the oven on 430…

enLiven Probiotic Yogurt Review
Recently I had the chance to try enLiven Probiotic Yogurt. It comes in 4 different flavors: blueberry, peach, strawberry, and vanilla bean. They come in a 4 pack and are available exclusively at Wal-Mart stores for under $2! I tried the peach and blueberry flavors and loved them. They taste like regular yogurt but it’s made with Probiotic Ganeden BC30, is low fat, and low cost. I like that the yogurt is good for you and helps the digestion tract. enLiven states that 70 percent of our immune system is actually living in the digestion tract, so eating probiotic yogurt helps reinforce a strong digestion tract. Each yogurt…

S and S Seasonings Review
Recently I had the opportunity to try S&S Seasonings. You can also use it on fish, ribs, beef, and even pork. S and S brand offers seasonings for all cuisines and has 6 different spice rubs and 3 BBQ sauces. I used the poultry rub on chicken legs and they turned out great. I really enjoyed the poultry rub and found they taste to be just right. I also tried their Ranch rub and was blown away by how great it tasted. I am a huge ranch dressing lover, so S&S Ranch rub was just right for my beef ribs! I slow cooked them over night with the…

Peeled Snacks Review
> I was approached by Peeled Snacks to do a product review recently. I’ve seen this product inside Starbucks but have never tried it. Normally when I buy at Starbucks it’s a Pumpkin Spiced Latte and that’s about it. Anyways, I gladly accepted the opportunity to review Peeled Snacks because I noticed they are Gluten free. I’ve been trying to eliminate as much gluten from my diet as possible without sacrificing taste. The snacks are just dried fruit. The snacks are chemical free, and the ingredients list lists only the fruit. I felt safe enough with these snacks that I fed them to my parrot, something that a rarely do…

Jamba Juice Review and Giveaway!
I recently had the chance to try Jamba Juice bagged smoothie. My kids have been begging me to try this but I’m not much of a smoothie liker so I avoided buying it. I finally cracked and decided to try 4 flavors; Mango a-go-go, Strawberries Wild, Razzmatazz, and Caribbean Passion. The smoothie directions say to add apple juice to the contents and blend on the smoothie setting in your blender. I did this and the smoothies came out perfect. Then I decided to get wild and try a few different drinks to see what the difference is. So I used Crystal Light first. It was delicious, and the best part…
