Recently I had the opportunity to review Brillo products for cross contamination. I reviewed Brillo Estracell sponge and Brillo Estracell wedge sponge. Both products worked well in my kitchen over the holiday. My oldest make lots of cookies and other desserts and made a huge mess. I was grateful to have the sponge wipe to use. It worked well on my kitchen table, and is large enough that it fits in the palm of my hand. The wedge sponge worked perfectly on dishes and hard to reach places. I liked that the wedge sponge has a scrubbing side to it.
According to Brillo, their products rinse out better and dry out faster than other leading brands. I would have to agree with this. I felt that both products I reviewed rinsed out well, and they were dry by the next day when I was ready to use them again. I do think that Brillo’s system has an advantage because it seems more sanitary than a sponge that stays wet for days and days.
Brillo is the only household cleaning company to offer Estracell in their products. Estracell is a unique material that contains an unusual cell structure. Estracell’s cell structure allows the sponge to pick up dirt and grime more thoroughly, resulting in a cleaner more sanitary environment.
Bottom line is that Brillo’s Estrocell products are comparable in price to other leading brands but have a leading advantage with the Estrocell technology. I would buy this product over a leading brand since the price is virtually the same.
