Dreft Infant Detergent & Catherine Lowe Partnership #Amazinghood Giveaway
This post is a sponsored collaboration between DiMe Media and Dreft. All opinions in this blog post are my own.
Did you know that millennials make up about 90% of the population of mothers in the United States? That’s a lot of 30+ year old mothers roaming around. From what we know about this generation of moms, Millennials do pregnancy totally different from previous generations. For one thing they are less likely to stress themselves out with chores, and they are more likely to use technology to get informed. They also like apps. Lots and lots of apps. I am excited to announce that Dreft is partnering with an awesome millennial mom and her handsome husband! Sean and Catherine Lowe are popular reality TV stars from “The Bachelor”, and are excited to celebrate their pregnancy with Dreft! Sean and Catherine will be detailing their messy, beautiful journey of parenthood through the looking glass- a full year of “Amazinghood”. You can follow their journey by using hashtag #Amazinghood.
Dreft believes that for many moms and dads, doing baby’s laundry is a way to connect with their new baby, and develop a closeness between mom and dad. Dreft believes its a great time to relish in the amazing moments and stages of baby’s milestones. New moms might feel overwhelmed by the loads of laundry they are suddenly left with after a baby is born. To make matters worse, new mothers might not realize that not all laundry soap is created equal. It’s safe to say that when I was a new mother I battled skin rashes, baby food stains, and even an occasional diaper blowout. I soon realized that Dreft works just as I needed it so while other brands fell short. As you follow along Sean and Catherine’s journey be sure to use the hashtag #Amazinghood to share your baby’s milestones with the couple. As a millennial mom, its not surprising that Catherine Lowe would share her pregnancy journey with the world. Today’s moms are using much more technology than past generations. In fact, millennial moms have been live streaming everything from their baby’s first feeding to actual live birth. New mothers can also learn from other more experienced mothers by joining online parenting groups.. This is something past generations did not have access to.
With this new generation of moms, there is more concern with the safety and environmentally friendliness of laundry detergents. Millennial mothers use laundry products that aren’t harsh on baby’s skin. Dreft knows that baby skin is sensitive, and it’s the #1 baby detergent choice recommended by pediatricians. Dreft’s newborn and active baby detergents are gentle and hypoallergenic on baby’s sensitive skin, tough on stains, and have a baby fresh scent. According to Dreft scent is a major force in triggering emotions, so just a short sniff of Dreft can bring up precious memories from babyhood.
A few parenting tips to prepare new mothers by millennial moms
- Use technology to your advantage. Today’s parents have access to some of the best technology that can not only make moms life easier, but get baby to sleep faster. New technology is constantly being made from new baby monitors to apps- these new technologies can mean keeping up with baby when you are away.
- Use what works. Dreft Infant Laundry Detergent has amazing stain fighting abilities. I use Dreft for everyday stain fighting needs.
- Take advantage of a registry. Today’s parents know that you can have too many onsies but you can never have too much Dreft. In fact, Catherine Lowe said at her baby shower she wanted to stock up on Dreft products because she loves it that much.
Sean and Catherine Lowe’s Dreft parenting journey and partnership with Dreft began at their baby shower on April 27th, where the couple was showered with love and essentials needed for a band new baby coming into the home. This is also where Catherine mentioned that she’d love to stock up on Dreft Newborn Detergent, she she’s confident that the brand will keep her baby’s sensitive skin safer. Over the next year everyone can share in the Lowe’s new journey through the #Amazinghood hashtag by following them on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.

My best tip is to stock your freezer with meals before baby comes. It will be nice not to have to worry about what to make for dinner those first couple weeks and will give you more time to cuddle your new baby 🙂

My best tip is to be alright with things not going exactly as you planned. I have three babies and they grew up way too fast. Really take the time to enjoy every moment!

My best tip is to sleep when the baby sleeps. I know it is a hard thing to do, but you will feel so much better if you do.

Take help when it’s offered. The older you child gets, the less offers for help there will be.

Go with the flow. It’s easy to feel panicked and scared but don’t be afraid to reach out to other fellow moms and your parents for help 🙂

Things don’t always go as planned (if anything, they usually don’t go as planned) so be okay with improvising and just living in the moment

A tip I would give would be to not stress about the little things, and just enjoy every minute you can. Little ones don’t stay little for long so soak up every minute! Even the sleepless nights, stinky diapers, and spit up clothes lol. Those too will be missed.

My tip would be to enjoy the simplest things…they grow up fast

Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Sometimes a nap break, mommy daddy break, or even just a walk by yourself is much needed!
