Given the opportunity to write a guest post was very nerve wracking for me! Did you have to think about it? I SURE didn’t! I could easily live off of it… enchiladas, chips and salsa, tacos…..YES…you guessed it ~ MEXICAN food. Tortillas, fajitas, margaritas…yummmmmy! Oh! Clothing Exchange 8/19 – Vancouver, WA
This came across my desk today and I’d like to pass it on to my Vancouver, WA residents. Clothing Exchange for back to school happening on 8/19 at Smokies Pizza in Vancouver, WA. It will be from 2-4 pm. FYI, I will likely be there! Hi Emily, I am just an individual with 6 kids at home so I know how hard it is in this economy. In the past I have tried to do a few clothing exchanges a year for both kids clothes and for plus size but the last 2 years has been very difficult for us. Sometimes they are at the place we are going to be at next Sunday,…

Review – Imposter for Hire by Sandra Levy Ceren
Imposter for Hire by Sandra Levy Ceren boasts the thrill a suspense novel should have but there’s also an edge that most other novels don’t carry and that is a psychologist as the author. Yes, Dr Ceren is a lively psychologist living in California and has been in practice for more than 40 years. Author Sandra Levy Ceren knows how to get inside your head, as do most “shrinks”, but she has an exceptional way with mystery and suspense that I’ve not seen in quite some time. When I started reading the book I expected it was going to be boring. I guess I just have a textbook version…

Liquid Amino Diet – Week 3
The week started off well, I was down 4 pounds and eating right and drinking my water. But then life got in the way and I decided to have a cheat day. The cheat day caused a weight gain of 2 lbs and a stall and then it led to an additional 2 days of cheating. So yeah, week 3 wasn’t a pleasant one for me and I’m now up 3.5 lbs that I’ll have to work my tail off to lose. The moral of the story, do not cheat because it will stall you for days. Today I was really discouraged over the weight gain and the stall…

Liquid Amino Diet – Wk two – 5 lbs Lost
So I’m entering week 3 of Liquid Amino Diet and I won’t lie, it’s really hard. Week 2 the cravings did subside but I still had headaches. I am told that will happen if you were heavily addicted to sugar, I was. It’s a mind game and I want to eat food, the kind of food everyone around me is eating, the unhealthy kind. I messed up a little on the fruit. I ate nectarines thinking they were safe when they actually weren’t; nectarines to high on the glycemic list. So I think I slowed my losses down by doing that. It’s definitely been a mind over food week. I…

Greek Roman Costume Review
I know it’s kind of early for a post of this nature but Halloween is just a few months away and we like to plan ahead, plus I think I just wanted to see hubby in a costume:) I was offered a costume review from AnyTimeCostumes, see the Spartan Warrior costumes and of course I grabbed at the chance to get Halloween shopping done early. So the hubs and I picked out a costume together and came up with a Spartan Warrior costume and I’m going to get a Greek goddess costume later to match. We may force the kids into the Greek theme to if we can… So the product…

Week one of the Liquid Amino diet was extremely hard. No processed sugar, no caffeine, no processed junk food. Yes it was hard for me. But you know what, by the end of the week I was feeling pretty successful because I did not cheat once. Even today when we were in Seaside I did not go off of my…

PottyCover Review
PottyCover is a disposable toilet seat cover that’s perfect for parents on the go and especially parents of young children. No more cleaning up pee all over the seat. You simply put the potty seat cover over the toilet and remove when finished. Its water proof and made from soft non woven fabric so won’t irritate your child. Each potty cover is individually wrapped for easy handling for on the go parents and covers are also great for keeping germs at bay as there is an extra barrier between the seat cover and the toilet seat. There is also a flap in the front to prevent legs coming into contact with…
