Review: Cavalliere Tie from Bows N Ties dot Com

My husband and I were chosen as godparents for his friend’s 15 year old daughter for her quinceanera which is to be held in November and he needed a tie. He does not work a professional job and has not had a need for one until now. I mean, he did were a tie at our wedding and possibly one other time in our 11 years of marriage but I do not even remember when that was. I was offered the opportunity to review a tie from Cavallieri, a designer of fine silk ties and I was excited to review it, especially since he already needed a tie.  I was not surprised when we discovered we did not remember how to tie it though. Flash forward and our daughter found a YouTube video for dad to use so he could tie his tie; so our daughter apparently saved the day.

I have always been a big fans of silk. I actually own fine silk veils for Middle Eastern dance, from my dancing days, so I have some experience in the silk industry.  We received a silk tie from designer Cavallieri from Bows – N Ties  in Dotted tie in Red and White style. The tie is nice and you can tell it is of good quality because of the way the tie feels. It has a good weight to it, does not feel flimsy or too stiff.

I have to say though, I wish I would have been given the opportunity to choose the color and style of tie because I am not in love with this design. It reminds me of a tie my grandfather would wear to church, not something a 32 year old man would wear to work. It is too plain for my taste and would have preferred a more elegant tie that is softer and more stylish. I know that I am not a guy and women have different taste then men so I did ask my husband what he thought of the tie and he agreed that the style is meant for an older gentleman, not a young 32 year old.

That said, everyone is different as far as styles and taste go so even though we did not like the tie that does not mean you would not. Besides that, they do carry some nice styles in the store online , and I actually found a lot of ties that I DID like very much. I like the softer silk ties that have stripes or solid ties that you can wear against a patterned shirt.

If a friend were asking me where to find a quality name brand tie for inexpensive I would recommend this website and I myself would purchase a tie if we needed one for s special occasion [[like the event we have in November]]. I do believe that you would not be disappointed in the quality and craftsmanship of these ties. The company is easy to work with and my review item arrived quickly.

Cavalliere ties are made from the finest silk  available and retail for $50 to $60 but on Bows n Ties you can get a Cavalliere tie for $24.95 plus if you use TR239YU at check out you will receive 20% off your purchase. The website also carries wedding ties by Davids Bridal, JCrew and Alfred Angelo.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
