Jamba Juice Bagged Smoothies Review

It probably seems weird that I would be blogging about cold smoothies this time of year, especially when it was under 15 degree the other day, but Jamba Juice is worth the brain freeze ;)Plus let’s face it, sometimes we get sick and tired of the same old hot coffee and tea day in and day out. It’s okay do have a cold drink in the middle of winter. You will survive!

Jamba Juice comes in handy when you’re rushing through your day and don’t have time to cook a wholesome breakfast. They go right into your blender, you add some kind of juice or liquid and blend. I often add a cup of broccoli or spinach to mine and my sons smoothies and we do not notice it at all. It adds a serving of veggies and keeps us fuller longer. Because my son refuses to eat veggies, adding them to smoothies is really the only way he’s getting his daily vegetable intake. It’s a great way to go if you’ve got a picky eater at home.

As an ice cream alternative, Jamba Juice makes a creamy ice cream base. You can add frozen bananas or other fruit such as peaches or raspberries to make a frozen yogurt treat.  You simply blend until creamy and it will resemble an ice cream. This is a great way to cut out empty calories when you really want ice cream but not all the fat that comes with it.

Jamba Smoothie Kits come in the following flavors: Mango a go go, Razzamatazz, Strawberry Wild, Caribbean Passion  my favorite!], Orange Dream Machine, Pomegranate Pick Me Up, and Acai Super Antioxidant.

They are ready to make, just add juice. They do not taste exactly like what you purchase at a Jamba Juice shop but they are pretty close to the real deal. I like them a lot if that counts for anything 😉 Most packages have a $1 off coupon and that comes in handy during a sale. I have been able to score packages for $1 because of that coupons, so do keep an eye out for specially marked packages with the $1 off mark on them.
