Product Review – Nielsen Massey – Pure Vanilla
I have a teen daughter that loves to bake so I was thrilled when I was asked to review Nielsen Massey: Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract . This stuff is AMAZING! I never thought I would get so excited about a bottle of vanilla but I am. Maybe it’s because I never knew there was a difference between the imitation vanilla I was buying all the time and the real deal. In case you are not yet sold on the idea let me reiterate that I amazed by this product. First of all, there is a huge difference between imitation vanilla and pure vanilla extract. Imitation vanilla is high fructose corn syrup and food dye. Don’t believe me? Check the food label on the bottle you have in your cupboard. Pure Vanilla Extract by Nielsen Massey contains water, alcohol, sugar, and vanilla bean extract. Pure vanilla tastes so much better to; it has a nuttier flavor and is more apparent in recipes.
This is what Matt Nielsen says about his Vanilla:
Emily – thank you for such a great, to the point review of our products. I’m so glad you have converted from imitation vanilla to the real deal. Your readers will even find our vanillas more cost effective than supermarket brands which retail for $6.00-8.00 per 2 ounce bottle. Our 4 ounce Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract is typically sold for only $10 ($5.00 per 2 ounces)! I hope we’ve opened a new door to your culinary world!
Bets Regards,
Matt Nielsen

So why is Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla such a hit in millions of American homes?
They have been crafting their pure vanillas for since 1907. That’s a long time to get the recipe perfected, yes? They have headquarters right here in the United States and are an American made company that also has a plant in the Netherlands. You can find their products in South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and even the Middle East. They are dedicated to quality and it shows in their products. Just open a bottle of their pure extracts and you can smell the freshness.
I have a famous recipe in our family called Nutmeg & Vanilla French Toast.
The kids will kill each other over the last piece. I used Nielsen Massey vanilla in the recipe the last time I made and I did not tell anyone. They went crazy for more, begging me to make another batch it was so good.
Here is a version of what I make. I’m leaving a few ingredients out since it’s a family recipe I can’t share. I don’t measure ingredients for this recipe so just use enough eggs to coat however many pieces of bread you need.
Texas Toast
Eggs
Freshly ground nutmeg
Nielsen Massey Vanilla Extract
Dash of cinnamon
Add seasonings to the eggs and coat bread in egg mixture. Pan fry several minutes on both sides until golden brown. For an extra kick use coconut oil on low heat.
