Easy 30 Minute Stove Top Ziti
I love baked ziti from Olive Garden but we’re trying to cut back on restaurants right now. I wanted a homestyle version that would take me less then an hour, and I was able to cut it down to only 30 minutes! This recipe includes 5 minutes bake time, but is otherwise completely stove top ziti. I feature Ragu’s new Homestyle Thick and Hearty Traditional sauce in this easy stovetop ziti recipe.
This simmered in tradition sauce is the newest addition to Ragu’s line of pasta sauces. Ragu is huge in their story, and wanted to bring to life the “homestyle” flavors of homemade pasta sauce without the inconvenience of having to make it yourself. Homestyle is a concept that is near and dear to every family but can mean very different things. To my family it means good food made at home. This is Ragu’s thickest sauce– you can tell because it hugs the pasta. This is their boldest flavor yet because they peel, chop and simmer the ingredients and use a special blend of herbs (basil, fennel, oregano and black pepper) to layer and build the flavor. Ragu doesn’t use artificial flavors, artificial colors or high fructose corn syrup. *Do you know how hard it is to find sauce without HFCS in it? It can be difficult! You don’t take short cuts when you make your own sauce–neither does Ragu. That’s why we take the time to make sure the sauce is made right, and why I only buy the best.
