5 Must Have Gifts for Father’s Day

Growing up I had 2 important men in my life – my father and my maternal grandfather. As a kid I didn’t have a lot of money to spend on gifts so I would go with the old coffee cup, handkerchief or coin bank. My sister would do the same, and so our important men in our life would end up with LOTS of cups, booger rags, and coin banks to last a lifetime. Now days we can find father’s day gift online, and its easier to find deals on those gifts. As a grown up I admit I didn’t put a lot of thought into the guy gifts. I’m just not into picking out guy gifts but now that I have been married for 14 years, and have kids of my own I realized its important to go out of my way to make my husband’s Father’s Day special. After all, he helped create my monsters. He deserves some recognition. If you are like me, and want to make your special guy feel loved then these 5 great gifts are perfect for Father’s Day.
Men like to eat. They like meat. Lots and lots of meat. Spoil your guy this year with an assortment of sausage, cheese and crackers from Gourmet Gift Baskets. They have many basket selections from mini sampler assortments to deluxe meat and cheese baskets with prices ranging in the $30’s on up. I was given the chance to try out a gift basket from them. I was given the option to choose anything, and I chose a lovely Gourmet Meat and Cheese Sampler for $69.99. I chose this basket because it has some sausages that I had never tried before – garlic summer sausage, and smoked pepperoni. Plus it has a wider selection of cheeses to pair with the 2 meats. The price was also decent. It came in the mail the other day, and sadly my teen son saw it before I did, and now I get to order another one 🙂 My son loved the garlic sausage, and ate half of it before I caught on. I was able to sneak a bite, and I got to say its pretty darn good.
Dad can be the toughest member of the family to find the perfect gift for and it can make Father’s Day one of the most-difficult holidays to shop for. Knowing that many dads like things tailored just for them, custom cigars from Custom Tobacco could be the perfect gift this year. Customized gifts allow you to choose something that is uniquely your father or other man in your life. A customized cigar from Custom Tobacco is a perfect gift for Father’s Day, and it sure beats the traditional father’s day mug or handkerchief. Whether dad is a passionate cigar smoker or would just love to have some classy cigars with his name on them. Their cigars are not just custom in design either, as they offer more than 10 different high-quality variations.
Sometimes dads just need peace and quiet. My husband works in a noisy factory. He’s a machine operator, and works 10-12 hour days 6 days a week most of the year. He asked me to find him some in ear headphones that would reduce the noise but still allow him to listen to his music. Music helps him pass the day faster, and it is more relaxing for him than listening to machinery all day. People looking for sporty father’s day gifts might like this one, or they have many more on their website. I was amazed that QuietPoint Active Noise-Canceling Wireless In-Ear Headphones reduce 90% of the surrounding noise. My husband was skeptical at first because he has tried so many different brands but none have been able to truly block out the noise. These do, and they are comfortable. If your guy is suffering from a noisy job consider getting him a pair of these awesome headphones – he’ll thank you, and it would be a great Father’s Day gift.
For the outdoors man a camera kit is a great gift. This Canon EOS T5 has everything your guy would need to film his fishing adventures. A tripod is a must for filming the big guy catching fish as is several types of lenses and memory cards. This kit will get him started, and he can add to his kit as needed. I have a similar kit, and have only added one landscape lens, and a few memory cards since its purchase. We’ve take the camera on all our vacations, and the different lens options these kits come with is more than enough to capture a great shot or video.
For the dad that likes to lounge around this popular jumpsuit from Onepiece will help him get even more comfy while watching his favorite sport show. Or use it like the Norwegians do, and go skiing in it. Both of my kiddos have these, and they wear them all the time. My daughter got one several years ago, and I purchased one for my son last Christmas. The original jumpsuit is Onepiece’s signature product, and an international favorite. The fabric is luxuriously soft, and cozy. Onepiece can be a bit pricey but they are so worth the price, and I have a 20% off coupon code that you can use at checkout. Make sure you use promo code BWDBFY at checkout but note this code does not work on clearance.

Great gift ideas. If your father is a cigar smoker, a humidor would be another great gift idea. Thanks for sharing!
