I really like chips but let’s be honest, chips do not love our bodies, they make us overweight. I try to not eat them for the very reason that one is simply not enough, heck even the serving size listed on the back of your traditional chips is not enough. So we all know chips are not the healthiest snack and if you want to stay thin or need to lose weight you should not be eating a lot of them. Well, that’s not even touching on the fact that most of them are full of overly processed junk and chemicals that your body will punish you for later. Lately though there has been an influx of new companies on the rise that are creating a different kind of chip. A chip that we can eat sparingly and won’t have to worry all of those chemicals we can’t read. SIMPLY7Snacks, is a company that manufacturer’s chips that are actually good for you.
Yes, I said that right. These chips are good for you, however, they are not low in fat so you really need to eat them in moderation and not overindulge as they do have calories and fat content. I like that you can understand what’s on the ingredients list. There’s only one ingredient on the list that I do not believe needs to be there and it’s corn flour. Corn products give a lot of people digestion problems and since the ingredient is one of the top 5 ingredients that means there is a lot of it so anyone with a corn allergy can’t eat these chips. For a company that’s trying to have simple ingredients having a GMO product in it is kind of, well weird.
That said, I think these chips are great! They are crunchy and come in different flavors. The pomegranate chips are a different texture and I am not used to it, they are softish and kind of mushy so I have to say I wasn’t a big fan of them. The lentil chips were the right texture, crunchy and hold the seasoning well. The hummus chips reminded me of regular chips, I really didn’t see much of a difference if a difference at all. There are 9 flavors of chips at SIMPLY7Snacks: sea salt, black pepper, white cheddar, tomato basil, roasted red pepper, spicy chili pepper, bruschetta, creamy dill and lentil jalenpeno.
