Pine Bros Softish Throat Drops

Pine Bros Softish Throat Drops have been around since the 1870’s, yes that’s right, I did say 1870’s! It all started with a bit of glycerin and some natural sweetener and flourished into what is now Pine Bros, Inc. You can find these throat drops at CVS drug stores nationwide.

Now, I am not a huge lover of cough or throat drops, I normally avoid them because I find that they have a nasty after taste or contain too much sugar. I thought Pine Bros was okay tasting, not great but not terrible. I used them this past week when I had a sore throat and they worked wonderfully. However, I did not like their original flavor at all BUT I typically never like original in any throat drop so I am not surprised. My son loved these so much that he ate a bag like it was candy and I had to put the bags up high so he could not reach them. Apparently, even when you have a 10 year old you still have to child proof your home…

The only thing I did not like about these drops is that they contain some ingredients that I do not consume. The drops contain corn syrup and sunflower oil, both are items I choose not to feed myself or my family. I only tried them because I did not read the ingredients list first, otherwise I would have declined the review. That said, there is nothing wrong with the drops if you consume those two items regularly. My family chooses not to due to dietary restrictions.
