17 Products to Organize Your Kitchen
The fear of recession has many of us penny pinching at the grocery store, in fact 72% of shoppers are buying less items to save money. One way I am attempting to save money on groceries is by making sure I am utilizing the items I already have in my pantry, fridge, and freezers. In order to know what is in my kitchen I need an organized kitchen. A disorganized kitchen will mean you don’t know what you have stocked up, and you will buy items you do not need. A disorganized kitchen will also mean perishables will go to waste more quickly. Here are some tips and product ideas for keeping your pantry and fridge organized with product visibility so you always know what you have to cook with.
Your kitchen is the heart of your home. It’s where you share meals, plan family outings, and create memories with your loved ones. But as busy families know all too well, it can be hard to find time for everything – especially if you’re juggling work or school in addition to managing a household on your own. Here’s some ideas for organizing your pots, pans, lids, cleaning supplies.
- Use organization tools to your advantage. I love using racks to store my pots for ease of storage and to keep the pans from scratching. You can also use a hanging pot rack if you have high ceilings, or a hanging rack that attaches to the wall.
You can find items like the below pictured to store your pots on the wall or ceiling
wall mount pot rack, kitchen cookware hanging organizer with 15 hooks
Vdomus Pot and Pan Ceiling Rack, Mounted Cookware Storage Rack, Hanging Pot and Pan Suspended Organizer with 15 Hooks (33 x 17 Inch) for Kitchen Organization
Hanging Pot Rack, 3 in 1 Wall Mounted Pan Holder with 10 Hooks
Pot and Pan Ceiling Rack, Mounted Cookware Storage Rack, Hanging Pot and Pan Suspended Organizer with 15 Hooks
- If you prefer to stack your pots on top of each other you can keep a paper towel, piece of felt, or other cloth in-between each pan to avoid scratching.
- Buy high quality pans that will last at least 10 years. Make sure you are buying pans and pots that work for your style of range. I have a gas range and can use more versatile products, but my sister and mom have a glass top and has to be careful of what they use at their homes.

Why is organization important?
An organized kitchen is a peaceful one. Decluttering and organizing room by room is a therapeutic way to cleanse your space. Most families spend a lot of time in the kitchen. Not only does a clean kitchen save your sanity, but it also saves time and money, too! If you know exactly where everything is, you spend less time searching for it. And if you know exactly what you have in your pantry and fridge, you spend less money on last-minute grocery trips for dinner!
I can tell you that anytime I slack on keeping my pantry, fridge and freezers organized I regret it every time because I end up purchasing food I didn’t need to buy. Once I started investing in products to keep it organized my sanity came back. I was able to quickly find things I need, making the food prep process that much faster.
Organization tasks can feel a bit overwhelming. If you’re feeling overwhelmed with organizing your kitchen, take a step back. Think about what’s important to you when it comes to having a peaceful kitchen. Then, enlist the help of family or friends. Even if your kitchen is a total disaster, I promise your best friend won’t judge! Reaching out for help when you need it is not a sign of weakness, but strength. Knowing when to call in reinforcements is a useful skill to have.
