Review Spike Seasoning Magic & Giveaway
If you are like most Americans you probably reach for the salt a little too often. I know in my family we were raised on home cooked meals with a lot of salt. I grew up eating soup with salted pork that my mom would pour sea salt into. I just remember not liking the salt and mom would have to make a little dish separate for me or I simply wouldn’t eat. I just never liked salt much; I do use some specialty salts in my food such as Himalayan salt or black salt but still not much of it. My husband on the other hand is is from a big Mexican family and they use a lot of table salt in their meals, so naturally he reaches for the salt whenever he eats at home.
Salt intake is a huge dietary concern in the United States. Too much salt can cause a lot of health problems that can lead to heart disease and even death. I am sure you have all heard of Dr Oz. on a recent episode of Dr Oz, he recommended Spike Seasonings and states that the seasonings help fight bloat and are lower in sodium. I got to try these incredible seasonings and I was intrigued but a little skeptical that anything with no calories could be, well good tasting. But the seasonings taste great and Dr Oz is right on about the no bloat. Since switching to these seasonings I have felt a difference in the way my pants fit around my waste and I no longer feel stuffed after a meal.
Spike Seasoning Magic is an innovative new kind of seasoning meant to be healthier and to make your food taste good without all the added salt , preservatives and additives or fat. I had the awesome opportunity to try the following seasonings: Vegit, Vege-Sal, Garlic, Tenderizer, Hot n’ Spicy, Original, Lemon Pepper. I also received Salt Free but it arrived broken and unfortunately, was unusable.
All of the seasonings worked well with all of the dishes that I make weekly but I do have some personal favorites as did my husband. My favorite go to spice is now the Spike Original because it so versatile, it really goes with anything and is not salty like a lot of other brands. I use it daily on my vegetables and potato dishes. The other favorite is the Spike Garlic , it’s great to use when you want a garlic taste but without the work of peeling, crushing or chopping garlic cloves plus with the Spike brand you don’t have to worry about salt. I don’t care for spicy seasonings that much but I actually also really enjoyed Hot n’ Spicy as did my husband. HE also catches a lot of fish so I am always looking for new ways to season it and the Hot n’ Spicy added a real kick to the Salmon, Trout and Steelhead he has brought home throughout the month.
Where to purchase: You can find Spike Seasonings at most health food stores and select grocery stores. You can also purchase on their website or Spike Seasonings.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Thank you for the review – I’d never heard of spike seasoning before.
We all seem to understand that too much salt is unhealthy, but processed food is loaded with it. Many of the spice combinations available are basically flavored salt. Enjoyed reading how these seasonings worked into your regular meals and I’d love to try them out.

I have always used spices, salt was one of the staples but since I now have High Blood Pressure I have almost cut extra salt out, I’m still trying to find the right spices to take it place and hopefully get my blood pressure back down to normal before I have to start taking meds.
