Review: All The Bad Things by J Michael Dew
>
I’ve been on a book reading frenzy this month, with reading anything and everything people throw at me. So when I was given the opportunity to read All the Bad by J Micheal Dew, I jumped at the opportunity. Now, normally a book like this would not be on my list of must-haves but I am SO glad that I had the opportunity to review it. I have to admit though; I read a few pages and quickly jumped to the conclusion that there was no way I could review it. After talking to a good friend about how I felt, she convinced me to continue reading the book. Once I actually started reading it I have to admit I had a hard time putting it down. If it weren’t for the fact I’m working a brand new full time job that I’m still adjusting to I swear I would have locked myself up in my room like I did with the Twilight series LOL. The book is THAT good!
So what’s the book about and why was I so horrified when first opening the book? It’s a little controversial in that it’s telling the story of a “suspected” child molester named Robbie Toe, who is “set up” by several young girls. While reading the book I started believing in the girls, but then I changed to feeling like Robbie Toe was a good guy. I switched back and forth from Robbie Toe being a child molester to being innocent. I thought I knew what the ending was going to be but I was not prepared for it at all. I was SHOCKED at the ending of the book and YOU will DEFINTELY be shocked to! I had no idea what was coming and all I can say is you need to read the book to find out. It’s a great book and I highly recommend it.
Here’s a little snippet from the back of the book and I think it tells a lot.
“Robbie Toe never touched Missy’s butt, never raped Blue Jean by the fire, never did anything to the other five girls who accusedhim of sexual abuse. But no one cared to hear his side of the story….” ( J Micheal Dew”).
