I have been on Nutrisystem for 6 weeks now and have lost 8.7 pounds. So far the food has been good, I did find a couple things that I didn’t like and I will be creating either a post or video showing how a typical days worth of food, including food additions looks like. In addition to that I will be posting about my favorites and the food I disliked.
Week 5 resulted in a 1 pound weight gain because we had some off plan eating (Pizza night). I had promised myself that I would stick to my Nutrisystem meal but once the Pizza arrived it was game on and I ate some which resulted in a gain the next day. Do I regret it? No! Sometimes when we are on a journey to better health and weight loss we slip up and I think that’s is okay as long as you own up to it and move on. I didn’t let that one cheat cost me my day or my week. I went back on plan right after the slip up.
Week 6 I lost the pound I gained in week 5, so I am back at 8.7 pounds lost to date, so no Red Pound Bear for me YET. I stuck to the program pretty well this week. Got in all my water on most days but need to work on getting all the veggies in.
In a nut shell, I am starting to get the hang of this whole diets to go concept. I like that Nutrisystem delivers me the food nicely packaged in two shipments right to my home so I do not have to go hunting for their products around town. Each month I receive one frozen component and another shelf stable component. I have to purchase additional grocery additions like protein sources, vegetables and low calorie salad dressing or other items I can have that are considered limited to 3 a day or free foods.
They also have an online community that you can go to for support and you are able to track your progress and food daily through access to their online member area. I haven’t used it too much other than to log my weight and check out recipes but I plan to explore it more so I can report on it later.

Nutrisystem has provided Emily’s Frugal Tips the Nutrisystem program free of charge in exchange for sharing my journey with you. Regardless, I review things that I am interested in and my opinions are my own.
