I was in Safeway earlier today and they had a large pallet full of small pumpkins for free. They were advertising these as pie pumpkins just a couple days ago. Even if they aren’t traditional pie pumpkins they will still work with a little sweetener and pie spice.
I picked up 5 since I had already purchased 5 previously. I’ll be canning or freezing them after I process the meat.
