I wrote about the elementary school, Crestline, that burnt down a couple weeks ago. They have received a lot of donations but are still in desperate need of more. Right now the teachers are asking for any gift cards you can spare (Amazon.com, Ikea and Learning Palace to mention a few).
The fire displaced hundreds of school children who were placed in already crowded classrooms at neighboring schools. Fortunately, the district worked extremely hard to keep like groups together. So for example a class of all 5th graders went to one classroom. None as far as I know were split up.
If you can spare a gift card or two or cash donation please do NOT send to Emily’s Frugal Tips but instead sent to Evergreen School District, Burgundy Complex, 13501 N.E. 28th St., or mailed to ESD Foundation, Community Relations, P.O. Box 8910, Vancouver, 98668.
**If you are a business and think you may have something that could help the Crestline kids please contact me at email@example.com or the school district directly. Items like writing paper, pencils, books, textbooks, Kleenex and anything else you think might be useful could possibly be donated.
