Chocolate Cinnamon Graham Crackers

Disclaimer: This post is part of the Good Cook Blogger Program and I received these products for review. All opinions and experiences are 100% my own.

The Good Cook company challenged it’s bloggers to take the items they provided us and do the opposite of what they are supposed to be used for. Since this is my first food challenge I didn’t want to stretch my luck too far and played it safe with a few old fashioned favorites that I knew the kids would eat.

I received:  Sweet Creations large cookie sheet,  Sweet Creations 3 pack cookie cutters ( gift, cupcake and , and gift tag) and a 2 pack of Sweet Creations squeeze bottles.

I decided late one night to attempt gram crackers. I had never made them before but had an idea of how. I also did a french bread pizza using the cookie sheet that you can check out.

I used half whole wheat flour and half white sifted twice each. Raw cocoa powder, raw honey, brown sugar, LOTS of cinnamon and vanilla.

gram 3I must say I am truly in love with the cookie cutters. I love that on the inside back each one has its name. Usually when I purchase cookie cutters I will forget what the shape is, so having the name is really cool and helpful to me.The cutters are also made from a nice quality plastic so I can place them in the dishwasher and not have to worry that they will melt or rust.

Sweet Creations Cookie Cutters would be great for a birthday party, baby shower or group of friends coming over for coffee or tea.

gift tagIf you look close you can see specs of whole wheat grain. This was produced by sifting the flour and removing the whole wheat granules and adding them to the dough at the last minute. It just gives it some more visual appeal, make them look more like gram crackers.

gram 5The smell of these baking in the oven woke my oldest up. She needed to know what I was up to because the kitchen normally never smells this good. When I told her I was making gram crackers she looked at me like I was smoking something. She opened the oven door and discovered the yummy goodness and got really excited.

She did stay up to have the first taste and they were officially kid approved. She asked me several times if this was my recipe and I had to tell her yes many times until she believed me 🙂
