Caramel Apple Cider Margarita

Fall is such a great time to enjoy a caramel apple margarita! Warm gooey apples in every way possible. I am not much of a drinker but having a Hispanic husband has made me partial to margaritas. He can make a mean margarita but this one here is the BOMB! It would be a great item to bring to your adult Halloween party or carry it into the Winter and set the table with yummy Caramel Apple Cider Margarita for Thanksgiving and Christmas, or the holidays you celebrate.

Ingredients
  • • apple cider, approximately 1 cup
  • • 3/4 cup cold apple cider
  • • 2 shots tequila
  • • 1/3 cup caramel syrup
  • • 2 tsp raw sugar
  • • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • • raw sugar and cinnamon for sugaring rim of glass
  • • cinnamon stick or apple peel for garnish
Instructions for our delicious caramel apple margarita
  1. Begin by filling a regular size ice cube tray with apple cider. Place in the freezer for 2-3 hours. The cider will not be as hard as ice but will freeze mostly solid.
  2. When the cider is frozen, empty the cubes into a blender.
  3. Add the cold cider, tequila shots, caramel syrup, sugar, and cinnamon to the frozen cider cubes. Blend on high until the ice is crushed and all ingredients become slushy.
  4. Combine the additional raw sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl large enough to insert the top of your margarita glass.
  5. Moisten the rim of your margarita glass with a little apple cider to help the sugar mixture stick.
  6. Roll the rim of the glass in the sugar and cinnamon mixture.
  7. Transfer the frozen drink to the margarita glass.
  8. Garnish the drink with a cinnamon stick or a curled apple peel and enjoy!
